ORITAB was founded in 1958. ORITAB derives from “Orienttabak“, i.e. eastern tobacco. At that time, the company’s aim was the trading of the tobacco coming from oriental countries. With the passing of the time technicians and engineers joined the company, to use the excellent international relationships of the company. The trading of technical products was expanded from year to year, which has currently become the company's ultimate aim to all intents and purposes. Nevertheless, for reasons of continuity, the name ORITAB has been kept until nowadays, because it represents a collaborative partner for customers and suppliers.
